MLM Mompreneurs: Success Secrets for Housewives in Network Marketing

Homemakers face unique challenges when building a network marketing business. In this article, I’ll provide invaluable advice that will increase your success in your business and decrease the amount of stress that can be present when running a home and business.

Set goals

You can’t run a race without knowing where the finish line is, and you can’t build a successful business without knowing what you want to achieve. As a mom in network marketing, you may have goals for your business that are not only focused on money, but also time with your family. Dream big. Your goals must be important enough to motivate you on a daily basis.

Whatever your goals, it is important that you write them down on paper and put them where you can see them. Be specific when setting goals. If you want financial freedom, what is the exact amount of money you need each month to do so? Break your goals down into realistic steps that are easier to accomplish so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

Plan your week

Take 20-30 minutes at the beginning of each week and plan your week. I recommend only doing one week at a time, because often trying to plan details beyond a week can get overwhelming. Write who you plan to talk to this week; how you will contact your prospects; and how you’ll build new contacts this week, whether it’s on social media sites or local events. If you are marketing online, what strategy will you focus on this week, what result do you want to achieve, and what specifically will you commit to doing to achieve it?

Don’t try to separate life and business when making a plan. I have found that when I consider my domestic and maternal duties when planning my business activities, I can be more effective. For example, while my daughter is dancing, I have planned planning time for my marketing campaign. I make topic lists for articles and write my vignettes. Planning your week ahead can help you stay focused when faced with the distractions of a life with children.

Build relationships

This is one of the most important aspects of being successful in network marketing. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “people join people, not companies.” This is often preached in attraction marketing campaigns, but it doesn’t mean you have to be a network marketing guru. What it does mean is that people bond with people with whom they have a trusting relationship.

That said, I don’t necessarily think you should be chasing friends and family to join a business when they aren’t even open or looking to do something else. I believe that you should build relationships with people and that if you focus on those relationships, you will find that those who are open are much more accessible and willing to join you.

This is especially important when using the Internet to create contacts. Build relationships with people you meet on social media … don’t just promote your business. If you’re building a list, offer your subscribers the best value without asking for anything in return. This will build trust with your readers and they will become more open to your main business opportunity.

have a workspace

As a mom, it can be difficult to have a place of your own, but you can make a difference by building a home-based business. If you have office space, use it, but if you don’t, try to find a place in your home that is specific to your work. This will help you focus on work while giving you a sense of professionalism. This is important because if you are going to produce what you feel.

Also, make sure you have space to organize your work. Organize your contacts, prospect information, trainings, schedules, etc. so they are easy to find. This will relieve unnecessary stress and promote a higher level of efficiency and productivity.
